Professor Tang Liangxing is a renowned pipa virtuoso, composer, and educator, currently teaching at Tainan National University of the Arts. He serves as artistic advisor to both the Taipei Chinese Orchestra and China National Traditional Orchestra. Born in Shanghai, he began with the erhu before switching to the pipa, debuting as a soloist at fifteen. Tang gained international acclaim in the 1970s–80s, premiering major pipa works like Hua Mulan. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1986, he performed widely and received the 1993 National Heritage Fellowship. He later became a key music educator in Taiwan, shaping modern pipa performance.

Professor Professor Zhan Yongming is a renowned dizi (Chinese bamboo flute) performer and educator, currently teaching at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Acclaimed as one of the top dizi artists of his generation, Zhan has won major awards and performed in over 20 countries. Professor Wang Wei is a leading guzheng performer, educator, and scholar, serving as professor and doctoral advisor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She heads the plucked string research section and the Guzheng Art Committee of the Chinese Musicians Association. Over a 30-year career, she has earned national awards for teaching innovation, including developing the “String Distance Teaching Model.” Wang has published textbooks, compositions, and essays, and her students have won top honors like the Golden Bell and Wenhua Awards. Professor Su Chang is a renowned guzheng performer and associate professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she also serves as a graduate advisor and director of the second plucked-string division. A student of master Zhou Wang, she has won top prizes in major competitions including the CCTV Folk Instrument Competition and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra Soloist Contest. Professor Dai Wei is a distinguished scholar and performer of traditional Chinese music, teaching at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music since 2000. She holds bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Chinese music history and studied guqin with Gong Yi and Zhang Ziqian. Her research focuses on guqin history, ancient music, and music archaeology. A member of several academic and music organizations, she has received multiple national awards and was a visiting scholar at UCLA in 2012. Dai has published books and recordings, given international lectures and performances, and curated major guqin events, including the Jin Yu Qin Society’s 70th anniversary.
